here again, there again. 12/26/2001 22:04:39

back home again for one night.  next stop: up north skiing for the weekend.  new years plans are still up in the air..  north, south, east, west..  who knows?

at home, the times were great.. as short as they were, they still managed to be great.  i spent most of my time like this with my two brothers (one being an in-law).  for those of you who saw last years, the christmas tree looked a bit better this time around (except for the mardi gras beads).

i'm in no mood to be writin' more, so have a good holiday.  i'll write more when i'm back.

i'd supply pictures, but i'm too lazy/drunk to hookup the jizznunk that cizzopies the jiznank on the computer.  so ur shizzit outta lizzuck.

merry Christmas and g'night.

 holiday hell.. 12/20/2001 23:20:28

4 hours at the mall.  a slight deviation from my originating agenda... it really wasn't so bad.  i had good company and a few good laughs.  the first came from the realization that wisdom doesn't really come with age.  the stage has already been set by the title of this entry -- a busy mall filled with rushing idiots trying to tie up loose ends.  add in a starbucks kiosk.  an elderly lady.  and some udder stupidity.

so sharon and i are in line -- just trying to get a quick drink before returning to the same stores we've been to 3 or 4 times already.  two or three people are in front of us, two or three people are behind us.  the starbucks system is much like blockbuster system in that everyone waits in a little area until his/her beverage is ready... upon which you walk up, grab it, and leave.  as we're waiting, we hear "tall latte" announced.  not ours, so we continue waiting as the tall latte awaits its owner.  a few minutes pass, and again -- "tall latte".  again -- no one.  a few more minutes later, "tall latte?", louder this time.  the guy behind the counter, obviously annoyed, starts going through the people in line inquiring about what they had.  1st girl: "hot chocolate", 2nd guy: "mocha-shitzo", 3rd elderly lady: "tall latte".  me: "WELL SWEET CHRIST, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR?  GRAB THE FUCKING DRINK ALREADY".  unfortunately i only said that to myself.  the man behind the counter took a much nicer aproach with the woman.  i suppose he's depending on that job.

this all goes back to my great idea.  me.  a part-time job at mcdonalds.  telling off the first irate customer that rubs me the wrong way.  how good would that feel?

i want to goto bed, so i'll tell another story later.

 Night Life.. 12/18/2001 23:37:44

I seen the Botanical Gardens' holiday lights tonight.  They was beautiful.  I had to say holiday because here at langdonx.com, we stand on the politically correct side of the issues.

And so I was thinkin' about a new advertisement for langdonx.com, and then I think how I really liked the movie AI and how I'd probably steal their marketing plan..  So here is a rough draft:

LANGDONX -- He's not gay.. but his friends are.

 today. 12/16/2001 21:14:44

today was good -- very good.  it started out in da mornin wif da wuver cookin' da pancakes.  they were good because they were the Just Add Water! kind.  sharon prefers the just add milk and eggs kind, but that can just get too expensive.

after that sharon and i dusted off the old Super Nintendo.  i have no idea how the hell only parts of the plastic faded to an ugly gray, but at least we didn't have to blow in the games to get them to function.  the only video game sharon will play is mario, so we popped in Super Mario All-Stars and went to work on the first one.  we got to world 8-4 in no time.  we didn't even use the warp-zones on 1-2 and 4-2.  that's just how good we are.  after failing to beat bowser a few times, we decided to go to the mall where sharon likes to try rings on that don't fit her.  it turned out ok, though, with the help of a few employees (just kidding).  while we were there, we grabbed a bite to eat and a few xmas ideas.

when we got home, sharon beat mario once, and then played through the second quest where all the goomba's are replaced with the black helmet guys.  i took over on 8-4 and beat da game just so i could say i beat it too.

FFX: 3 days and counting.

much of the same.. 12/15/2001 04:15:10

i had fabulously fun time of bowling at the naval base this evening.  of course we had to get through a threatcon bravo level security entrance to actually bowl.  it's a damned good thing i passed my driver's test and that i have a license -- else we just couldn't have bowled.

anyways.  it was sharon (B) and myself (LX) vs drewmedia (D) and ben (P).  sad to say to no help of my own sharon and i lost 2 out of 3 games.  get the highlights at self-destruct.org.  it's ok that we lost, because it's all about the unity and bond even between bitter enemies.  after a poor game where my skill level had fallen into a deeper rut, drewmedia came through with a miraculous tie.  friends4ever dood.  =]

 tonight's events.. 12/13/2001 00:00:48

i completed try2hack level 10 tonight when I was at sharon's school.  it consisted of altering the screen saver on one of her computers.  the school has some software enforced that restricts certain applications to run as well certain things to be clicked including control panel, and desktop right click.  so lez just say that the screen saver now says "Miss McLellan" ..

i played counter-strike tonight.  haven't in a long time.  been busy i guess.  it was fun.. though mostly due to the fact that i could actually amass some kills.  two good screen shots came of it.  perhaps one of the sweetestjrizzy was all tryin to TK me... and did... but drewmedia avenged my death.  sadly the rest of the [BFC] crew (ben, drewgood) didn't join us.  nor did matt b.  that would've accounted for all of my 3D friends.

and clayton skaggs... don't hose my guestbook anymore, fagbreath.

 g33ks and fr34ks. 12/11/2001 23:45:52

You might have to be too much of a geek to even appreciate this..  but Google put together a 20 year history of Usenet.  It's got things like Jan 1986 First mention of the Challenger tragedy and Dec 1994 Early mentions of Yahoo! and Lycos before they were companies.

Technology is absolutely amazing.  Heartbreak is absolutely unbearable.

 Weekend Update 12/10/2001 20:35:56

-FRIDAY-

I hopped out of a meeting early so that Sharon and myself could depart on a weekend adventure through some northeastern states.  The trip started off beautifully at dusk (just as the morning did 11 hours earlier).  We were blessed with the most awesome sunsetted sky that one has ever witness as we drove across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to our destination of Brick City, New Jersey.  As we were driving, I also witnessed the pinnacle of the advertising industry -- something SO brilliant -- SO thought provoking -- such the new driving force that puts to shame register.com and other sites of the same nature -- know what else?  I've captured it on film for you to witness as I did: In all it's glory.  Who needs their own domain when you can get a geocities website for free?  Hell -- drewmedia did it.

-SATURDAY-

It started off early as I awoke to the blissful sounds of Sharon's mouth.  As I tried to fall back to sleep, I thought of the exciting day ahead of me.  As the morning grew further and being apparent as it was that I would not fall back to sleep due to the range of sounds exploding from a certain human bull horn, I decided to get up and take a shower.  With Sharon, myself, and two members of her family accompanying, we headed out to see the big city.  Upon arriving, we saw some Counter-Terrorists on the outskirts of the Lincoln Tunnel.  Friggin' campers, I swear.  We strolled around in the city for some five hours.  We hit up the Statue of Liberty (from a distance), the infamous Ground Zero, Canal Street (great crap, cheap), and Rockefeller Center among other places.  Rahat says I bring rain to the city.  Apparently I do -- for my second trip to NYC the weather just would not cooperate.  I plan to return again..  I do.

-SUNDAY-

Sunday was sweet.  Got up.  Took a shower.  Ate some breakfast (thanks Sharon, I wuh you).  Talked a bit.  And finally sat for 6 hours in a car with the love of my life and didn't say more than 20 words the whole time...  Ain't relationships grand?  We promptly kissed and made up when we got home and relaxed with a bowl of chili.  My chick is the best cook you ever seen.  On the way home though, I read through the latest Gear... an editorial about the Montauk Project.  It led me to the conclusion that there's nothing more in this world that I cherish more than my sanity.  If I ever lose that.  Please kill me.

 I'm back... 12/09/2001 19:44:47

Sorry that you've all had to look at the same shiz for 3 days in a row.  I'll have some stories, pictures, slides, and I guess that's about it in the days to come.

Also sorry that I missed an apparently fun weekend (also part of last week) involving birthday parties, ratio parties, and err... other stuff.  Happy belated birthday to Jeff who most likely hates me for a) not coming out b) overshadowing his birthday with the release of FFX demo and c) for basically being a faggot.

 Synopsis.. 12/06/2001 21:56:26

Digital Digital Get Down...  Final Fantasy X Playable Demo, all 30 minutes of it, is, to say the very least that can be said due to the limitation of the English language, utterly amazing.  Square did an incredible job on the demo.  I'd up and say that these cats should make a movie .. but .. they royally f'ed up their first chance and I can't imagine anyone else giving them any money for a second.  I'd of course give them a second chance, assuming they get rid of any poor attempts at CG'ing real people and stick to the fantasy graphics.

Back to the game -- there are two parts to the Demo.  One in a city where a new-aged sports event (which is insanely creative) is going on.  Destruction is, of course, eminent.  Things go haywire and you must battle your way out.  The battle system: Amazing.  The battle system: Amazing.  The graphics: Amazing; you can't tell if you're looking at a real time render or a pre-rendered movie.  It just doesn't get any better.  I'd like to see one x-box game parallel FFX.

The second part involves walking along a cliff where you fight enemies.  The music here is outstanding, as is the direction.  As it starts, you take a few steps forward and out of no10 where, the game flips to a movie clip of a beast pouncing and prowling towards you through the trees above.  It is undoubtedly breathtaking.  I plan to pre-order tomorrow.

Lucky me it's out on the 26th.  The exact day I have a few hours to kill after arriving home from Richmond and before heading out to New Jersey for a ski trip (Chris, I love you).

 X = 10 12/06/2001 16:20:01

Today is a good day.  Thanks to Kyle, I went up to Babbages on my lunch break to pick up the latest Jam Pack-Winter 2001 Edition complete with a playable demo of FFX (Final Fantasy X).  I am all excited to go play it when I get home like a 15 year old girl on prom night with Leonardo DiCaprio as her date.  No more.  No less.

I will probably play it all night, stopping only to pee and pack, since I will be in New Jersey/New York this weekend.  Sharon and I are driving up tomorrow at 4:00 PM (depending on a meeting that was just scheduled from 3 - 5 tomorrow).  We plan on going to New York with her mother on Saturday to look around and see the tree at Rockefeller Center.  If we're feeling up for it, we may even ice skate.  Although it's been pretty damned warm, if that even has any effect on it.  I am hoping it will be a nice sunny day, unlike last time.

When I was in the parking lot at the mall I took this.  Sadly, I was too stupid to move my car around and get a better picture.. and for that, I'm gay.

And finally.. Pictures from Sharon's Birthday Party.

 frowny face.. 12/04/2001 19:04:25

my heart goes out to drewmedia whose grandfather passed on saturday.  apparently i'm not a good friend because i just read it tonight.  that doesn't say much for me, especially when he hits my site more than he hits jason's mom.  and i say you should keep it self-loathing because self-destruct.org is the self-loathing drama i've been craving.

no doubt.

Apparently my satirical story offended some.  So I have removed it from the site.  There was no intent to harm the feelings of those that I care deeply for.  The story's only intent was to bring about laughter to the readers that were familiar with the content.

I am sorry.

so much money.  you can't stop that.

happy december.  vodka's the best crunked you can ever get.  even if it's just a little bit.  except you must know your limits.  ksh?

after finding a link for the previous few sentences, i found this.  it's a bit slow overall working with it, but it is freakin sweet i tell you.

i need to be productive -- earlier i wasted AT LEAST an hour and a half looking a tree of shit off of shusta's site.  kid has more content than cnn.  sawp with all the cams, dood?

as well i've spent another hour or so playing the laser game.  it's good old fashioned intelligent fun.  i haven't had this much fun since the try2hack series.
