Expand There Goes the Neighborhood

A year or more ago, some shitty neighbors moved in next door. They were and still are loud, messy, and generally annoying. A short list of offenses include (1) throwing loud parties on their back patio until 1am on various week nights, (2) leaving Halloween decorations out almost 2 months past Halloween, (3) learning to play drums in their garage at night, (4) tearing up the blinds on their front window, (5) leaving trash on their porch and lawn for weeks, and (6) tossing an old moldy blow-up pool over their fence after replacing it with a bigger one. Some of these things would be acceptable if our neighborhood consisted of houses and not attached condos. We live in a neat and friendly newer neighborhood, you'd think that people would be respectful and try to take care of what little they are responsible for to keep the area clean and uniform.

Last week, the cops apparently had to show up and crack down on some folks across from us. It was likely a domestic dispute between parent and child, because some loser kids have been hanging around lately working on their shitty VW Gulf and they've been gone ever since the altercation. Good riddance to them, I say.

And just last week as I pulled out of the driveway, I noticed a young boy (maybe 4 or 5) walking around and acting strangely in his front yard. I was curious as to what he was up to, so I backed out slowly and then crept down the street, eying him in my rear-view. He was quite fidgety and was wiggling around as if he was on meth or something. He was also watching me as I drove away. When I got to the end of the street, I paused for a moment to observe more of his behavior, when all of a sudden he pulls his little man out and proceeds to have a piss on his lawn. It was unbelievable. I wish I had put the car in reverse, backed up, and shared with him some choice words, but I was so shocked at the time I wasn't really thinking straight.

And last, but not least, due to some awful law that the City or State have supposedly passed, our pool isn't open on weekdays until 2PM (it used to be open from 8AA to 8PM), and also has to be "monitored" by someone.

Due to all of these lame happening (and growing pains and market conditions), I'll be looking to move maybe in the new year. I hope to be able to find and afford a place twice as big, in the same general area as I live in now. We'll see how that works out. I'll be stalking Trulia quite avidly.

Also, two friends of mine (on separate occasions) told me that the changes I made to my web site made them think for a split second that I let my domain expire and someone squatted on it. So I guess I should do something about that.
