Expand More Stick Than You Can Take A Shit At!

I'm always wanting to write crap in this crappy journal all of the time, but never have any... any time. Crap. So I'm left with 2 Notepad windows and 3 instant messages from the past week. Here we go.

Carnivale season finale... INSANE. Fucking insane. Incredible. I could say all of the positive adjectives I can think up, but it still wouldn't do the show any justice. Season 1 was good. Season 2 was mind blowing. I'm considering watching Season 2 all over again. It was just that good. If you've got 24 hours to spare, you should try watching the whole show.

On Valentine's Day, Sharon and I ate at Rockafellers. We both got 2 piece of shrimp that were wrapped in bacon, smothered in barbecue sauce, and cooked on the grill. They were awesome. I've been saying how I wanted to make them myself ever since then, so this weekend I did. They turned out tasty as a motherfffuhh. I've made them three times since (twice this weekend, once tonight). Instructions:

  • 1 package of uncooked jumbo shrimp
  • 1 bottle of barbecue sauce (spicy works best)
  • 1 piece of bacon for every three shrimp (not turkey bacon or any of that pansy shit)
  • 1 tooth pick for every 2 shrimp

Cut a strip of bacon into 3 pieces (depending on how jumbo your shrimp is). For each piece of shrimp, peel it completely (remove the tail, it sucks). Cover the piece of shrimp with barbecue sauce. Wrap the correctly-sized piece of bacon around the piece of shrimp so that there's barely an overlap. Jab a half of a toothpick through the overlapping bacon edges and into the shrimp. Smear some barbecue sauce on the bacon itself. Cook on your grill on low eat for 5 minutes on each side (give or take seconds/minutes/heat depending on your grill).

Oh yea, don't be retarded and forget to remove the toothpick before you eat.

I had a job interview today. Don't tell anyone.

My birthday was last week. Drew/Amber got me a sick-ass DDR pad (er, shit, I hope they didn't pay $109 for it). Anyway, it's great stuff. I've only gotten A's and AA's with it so far. I'm too scared to try any new songs now. I realized last week that I'm just not big on birthdays. I mean my own birthdays. I feel like it's just another day and holds no real significance, plus I don't like all the silly extra attention. So if you don't talk to me on a regular basis and you want to say happy birthday to me.. just hit me up like a week before or a week after and say hello. That'd be much cooler.

I learned Rydia and one other song since I've quit lessons. I haven't been practicing as much as I would like, but I have been progressing. I need to record the other piece I learned before I stop playing it every day and start sucking at it. Right now I'm looking for the next piece I want to learn. Everything I like is too hard. =/

Drew and I are going to DC to meet some DPC folk next weekend. It should be good times. Maybe I'll get back into taking photos and actually start submitting to DPC? Who knows. I need to go buy a Rubber Ducky.

I don't have Microsoft Word installed on this computer so I used GMail to spell check. They made a pretty sick implementation of a spell checker. They also knew I misspelled motherfucker.
